Role SummaryThe FCM Clearing Support provides operations clearing support for Futures & Options. The role covers all top day activity including allocations, Give Ups, Give Ins, and constant monitoring of trade activity to ensure everything is clearing correctly.Overview of Marex / Department descriptionMarex has unique access across markets with significant share globally both on and off exchange. The depth of knowledge amongst its teams and divisions provides its customers with clear advantage, and its technology-led service provides access to all major exchanges, order-flow management via screen, voice and DMA, plus award-winning data, insights, and analytics.Overall ResponsibilitiesEnsure all top day tasks are allocated, cleared, and accepted in a timely and efficient manner.Daily monitoring and problem resolution of exchange clearing gateways and third-party clearer file imports.Daily monitoring and problem resolution of downstream internal system feeds and process.Collaborate with brokers, assisting with all queries and requirements.Report any issues to back-office supervisor and clearing manager.Ability to work closely with IT and trade support groups, advising of system issues daily.Manage top day trade activity to reduce intraday margin calls.Efficiently manage correspondence through group mailbox, as well as personal email.Ensuring compliance with the company's regulatory requirements under the SEC, FINRA, NFA, CFTC and other applicable exchanges.Adhere to the operational risk framework for your role ensuring that all regulatory or company determined parameters are complied with.Role model for demonstrating highest level standards of integrity and conduct and reflecting Company Values.At all times complying with Marex's Code of ConductTo ensure that you are fully aware of and adhere to internal policies that relate to you, your role or any other activities for which you have any level of responsibilityTo report any breaches of policy to Compliance and/ or your supervisor as requiredTo elevate risk events immediatelyTo provide input to risk management processes, as required.The Company may require you to carry out other duties from time to time.Competencies, Skills, and ExperienceCompetenciesDemonstrates curiosityResilient in a challenging, fast-paced environmentAbility to take a high level of responsibility in a fast pace and high-volume environmentExcels at building relationships, networking and influencing othersStrategic collaborator with insight and agility, able to anticipate future challenges, ensuring operational effectivenessSkills and Experience3 to 6 years of clearing experience expectedKnowledge of Ion's XTP Back Office, Ateo LISA, and Teo Clearing softwareStrong familiarity with Microsoft OfficeExcellent verbal and written communication skillsExperience working in a regulated environment and knowledge of the risk and compliance requirements associated with thisCompany ValuesActing as a role model for the values of the Company:Respect - Clients are at the heart of our business, with superior execution and superb client service the foundation of the firm.
