This position is ideal for someone who enjoys helping people, learning new technologies, and collaborating in a community-focused, engaging library environment.Flexibility, creativity, strong customer service, and teamwork are essential to success in this role.Responsibilities:Provide friendly, courteous, and informative service to all library usersDeliver efficient, high-quality customer service at the Reference DeskDevelop, schedule, and present programs for adult usersProvide ready reference, readers' advisory, and general assistance to usersTeach basic computer and technology skillsAssist, troubleshoot, and train users in the use of the online catalog, internet, databases, copiers, printers, and other library equipmentWork collaboratively with library staff to support daily operationsQualifications:Associate degree or higherAbility to read, write, and communicate clearly in EnglishSpanish-speaking ability is a plusAbility to work with Windows and MacOS computers and devicesWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office, Apple products, internet tools, and applicationsAbility to interact with users and staff in a friendly and professional mannerAbility to reach, bend, stoop, and lift up to 20 pounds and access all library areas and materialsAvailability to work daytime, evening, and Saturday hours (no Sundays)Reliable transportationPart-time position: 25 hours per weekStarting pay: $19.25/hour (DOQ)Annual salary range: $21,320 – $30,030Benefits include IMRF participation and paid time offLocationSouth Holland Public Library, Cook CountyHours$19.25/hour / Annually $21,320 – $30,030#J-18808-Ljbffr
