Summary

Total Solutions, Inc. (TSI) has an immediate need for an Archivist/Historian to support our work for the U.S. Army Tank‑automotive and Armaments Command (TACOM). Work is to be performed onsite at the Detroit Arsenal office located in Warren, MI .The TACOM objective is to achieve full intellectual and physical control of industrial sites' (Joint Systems Manufacturing Center‑Lima, Anniston Army Depot, Rock Island Arsenal Joint Manufacturing and Technology Center, Red River Army Depot, Sierra Army Depot, and Watervliet Arsenal) collections of historically‑significant archival records through centralized archival processing at TACOM History Office facilities— including evaluation, accessioning, rehousing, arrangement, description, supporting research, conservation treatments, and disposition, and select digitization—in accordance with established standards, procedures, and policies.DUTIES:The TACOM Archivist/Historian responsibilities include:Preserving the institutional documentationProviding historical support in decision makingVisting the industrial sites to determine material to be collected and digitizedPreparing documents for shipping both to Warren, MI and returning to originating locationsIdentifying and preserving historically significant recordsImplementing standardized accessioning and description proceduresEnsuring long‑term retention and secure storageSupporting historian and archivist responsibilities outlined at HQDAStrengthening continuity of historical operations and institutional memoryImproving readiness reporting and documentation practicesServe as an Archivist/Historian in the TACOM with responsibility for planning, researching, and managing the TACOM archives in accordance with Army Regulations.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSThe Archival Program Manager must demonstrate a minimum of 2 years' work experience, within the past 10, or archival professional or graduate-level credentials inarchival management and practice.Ability to obtain and maintain a favorable Secret security clearance.TSI offers a competitive benefits package to include: paid holidays, paid time off including sick and vacation leave, medical, dental and vision insurance, flexible spending accounts, short and long term disability, company paid life insurance, 401(k) with a company match and discretionary profit sharing and tuition reimbursement.#J-18808-Ljbffr
