Patrols parking lots and adjacent areas. Provides a deterrent to crime.Supervision Received: Security SupervisorSupervision Exercised: Indirectly – leads less experienced patrolsEssential Job Functions:Responsible for the safety and well-being of team members and guestsGives directions and provides escorts to guests in needPatrols on bicycle or on foot parking lots and adjacent areasProvides visible deterrent to crimeMay interview persons and investigate breeches in securityProvides assistance to law enforcementPrepares security incident reports and accident reportsEnforces internal security policies and proceduresPerforms other duties that may be assignedQualificationsMinimum Qualifications:Education:High school diploma or GEDKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Must be able to work effectively with peers, staff members and regulatory agency personnelStrong customer service orientationStrong written and oral communication skillsBasic computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office productsAbility to problem solve in a variety of situations where limited standardization existsAbility to interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, diagram or schedule formAbility to safely operate a bicycle in a variety of climates and weather conditionsAbility to speak clearly and de-escalate situations when neededKnowledge of basic state laws pertaining to private securityAbility to work around horses or livestockAbility to work a flexible schedule including weekends, evenings and holidaysTraining and Experience:Experience in security, military or law enforcement preferredLicenses/Certifications/Other:Current CLEET phase 4-armed license or the ability to obtain license within 90 days of hireCPR, first aid, AED certification or the ability to obtain the certification within 90 days of hireMust be able to complete pre-employment drug test with a negative resultMust be able to pass a background check and receive a license or permit from any Regulatory Agency, if applicable to perform the essential job functionsPhysical Requirements:Strength: Stand, sit and walk consistently. Will be required to lift and/or move up to 30 lbs and push, pull, or drag up to 100 lbs.Movement: Requires prolonged sitting, standing, walking or biking; requires mobility, eye/hand coordination and manual dexterity. Must be able to step, bend, climb, crawl and reach in all directions with hands and arms. Will consistently be required to touch, feel, stoop, bend, kneel, climb, reach. Will use office equipment.Auditory: Frequently speak and articulate. Frequently hear. Noise levels will be varied from light to moderate.Visual: Requires close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus with or without corrective lenses.Environmental: Must be able to work in fast paced, smoke filled casino environment. Occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles. Must be able to tolerate various climates and temperatures, including outside weather conditions or indoor climate-controlled environments. Moderate exposure in close proximity to horses. The employee may be exposed to the risks associated in attempting to resolve issues with extremely irate or difficult guests or staff members.
