Lateral Conflicts Analyst

A leading national law firm is seeking an experienced Lateral Conflicts Analyst to join its conflicts team. The role is open to candidates near any of the firm's 13 U.S. offices, with hybrid work available and fully remote considered in some cases.

The Lateral Conflicts Analyst will handle conflict-of-interest requests for lateral attorney candidates and other prospective hires, including paralegals and assistants. Responsibilities include reviewing lateral partner questionnaires, prior work lists and board memberships; researching corporations to identify affiliates, ownership structures and business risks; and preparing conflict reports. The analyst will work with Conflicts Counsel, the General Counsel's Office, sponsoring attorneys and Legal Recruiting to resolve and clear conflicts, escalating sensitive issues when needed. The role manages the conflicts side of lateral onboarding from start to finish. That includes setting up ethical screens in Intapp Wallbuilder, preparing screening memoranda, monitoring screened matters and clearing new matters for opening once an attorney joins.

Candidates should have a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and at least two years of conflicts experience at a mid-size or large law firm. Intapp Open experience is strongly preferred. The salary range is $88,900–$124,000 in Chicago, San Diego and Washington, D.C., and $80,800–$113,000 in the other office markets. The firm offers comprehensive benefits.
