The ideal candidate will possess strong observational skills, a commitment to safety, and the ability to respond effectively to emergencies. This role involves patrolling assigned areas, monitoring surveillance systems, and ensuring compliance with security protocols. Prior experience in law enforcement, military, or security services is highly valued. The Security Officer will play a critical role in maintaining a secure environment through proactive security measures and excellent customer service.ResponsibilitiesRespond promptly to alarms, incidents, and emergencies following established proceduresWrite detailed incident reports accurately and promptly for any security-related eventsOperate surveillance equipment such as CCTV cameras and alarm systems to ensure continuous monitoring of premisesManage access control by verifying identities and issuing passes to authorized personnelPerform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting when necessary for security operations or equipment setupEnforce security regulations and policies while maintaining a professional demeanor at all timesAssist in performing background checks on visitors or contractors as requiredProvide first aid and CPR in emergency situations, utilizing AED operation when neededDe-escalate conflicts through conflict management techniques and conflict de-escalation skillsConduct thorough patrolling of the property to identify potential hazards or safety issuesPerform emergency response procedures including fire safety protocols, AED use, and incident containmentMaintain clear communication with law enforcement or emergency services during incidents when appropriateExperiencePrior experience in law enforcement, military service, or private security is preferred but not mandatory; relevant experience in surveillance, incident report writing, or physical security is advantageousTraining in first aid, CPR, AED operationsOperation, and compliance with security regulations is beneficialDemonstrated ability to handle conflict de-escalation and conflict management situations effectivelyManaging emergency response procedures will be considered a plusThis Security Officer role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where safety and professionalism are paramount.
