The Title IXDeputy Coordinator serves as a neutral resource and first point ofcontact for members of the College District community regarding sexand gender-based complaints, including sexual harassment, sexualassault, dating and domestic violence, retaliation, intimatepartner violence, stalking, pregnancy and parenting, LGBTQIA+harassment and discrimination, and other forms of sexualmisconduct.Primary Duties and ResponsibilitiesEssential Performance RequirementsReceives and responds to incoming Title IX complaints timely andaccuratelyServes as a primary investigator and conducts thorough,fact-based, trauma informed investigations of alleged violations of District policy and procedure; to include complaints involving sexand gender-based violations under Title VII and Title IX, such assexual harassment, sex discrimination, and gender-baseddiscrimination by students and employeesServes as a hearing officer when applicableCoordinates the initial outreach to potential complainants(students, employees, faculty, and third parties) and ensures theyare provided with information about the rights, resources, andprocesses under Title IXRecommends policy and procedure changes based on current oremerging laws, litigation, and regulations, and assists theDistrict Title IX Office in the development, preparation, and review of related policies and proceduresAssists with the periodic and annual review of policies and procedures to continuously identify and integrate best practices inthe Title IX investigation and case management processEnsures ongoing compliance with Title IX by collecting andanalyzing data, writing comprehensive investigative reports, analytical reports, quarterly and annual reports, and maintaining records of investigationsCoordinates and manages the formal and informal Title IXGrievance Process, including, but not limited to, investigations,hearings, and appeals in accordance to Title IX regulations and College District policiesPartners with the Title IX Case Manager to conduct complainantintake, triage, and determine appropriate resolution ofcomplaintsProvides timely and accurate information, guidance and supportregarding the Title IX program, processes, and regulations tointernal and external members of the College DistrictCommunityParticipates in campus Care Team meetingsCollaborates with law enforcement authorities, Legal/GeneralCounsel in handling complex Title IX and EEO casesPartners with departmental and external stakeholders to ensurecompliance with federal and state laws including, but not limited to the Clery Act, Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act(FERPA), Title IX, Violence Against Women Act (VAWA), Drug FreeSchools and Community ActAssists or collaborates with institutional partners on educationand outreach activities to increase campus awareness of servicesand resources available to students, staff, and faculty (i.e.,Sexual Assault Awareness Month, Welcome Week Events, DomesticViolence Awareness Month, New Student Orientation)Service ExcellenceParticipates on behalf of the College in external communityorganizations and associations as assigned to support the EssentialPerformance Requirements*SupervisionWorks under the general supervision of the Title IXCoordinator*Performs Other Related Tasks as RequiredRequired Minimum QualificationsBachelor's degree and three (3) years' working experience relatedto the Essential Performance Requirements;
