Summary

SAAB is seeking a Senior Staff Systems Engineer to lead complex defense manufacturing programs from concept through sustainment. You will define and manage requirements, develop system architectures, and drive integration and verification for advanced air, land, and naval systems. Partnering with cross-functional teams, you will ensure safety, reliability, and compliance with defense standards while mentoring engineers and promoting MBSE best practices. Responsibilities

  • Lead systems engineering for complex defense manufacturing programs across the full lifecycle
  • Define, decompose, and manage system and subsystem requirements
  • Develop system architectures, interfaces, and design trade studies
  • Plan and oversee system integration, verification, and validation activities
  • Ensure compliance with applicable defense, safety, and quality standards
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering, production, and program teams
  • Apply and champion model-based systems engineering methods and tools
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate technical risks and issues
  • Support customer and stakeholder technical reviews and documentation
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers in systems engineering best practices
