Summary
SAAB seeks a Senior Staff Systems Engineer to lead complex defense manufacturing projects from concept through sustainment. You will define system architectures, manage requirements, and coordinate design, integration, and verification across multidisciplinary teams. Partner with customers and suppliers to ensure performance, safety, and compliance with defense standards. Mentor engineers, drive MBSE and best practices, and support bids and technical reviews. Responsibilities
- Lead systems engineering across full lifecycle from concept to sustainment
- Define and maintain system requirements and architectures
- Coordinate design, integration, and verification with cross-functional teams
- Ensure compliance with defense, safety, and quality standards
- Engage with customers and suppliers on technical scope and performance
- Apply MBSE, modeling, and analysis to optimize system solutions
- Plan and execute system-level tests, reviews, and risk mitigation
- Mentor junior engineers and promote best engineering practices
- Support proposals, cost estimates, and technical reviews
- Collaborate globally to align solutions with Saab's product portfolio
