Summary
SAAB is seeking a Senior Staff Systems Engineer to lead complex systems development for advanced defense and manufacturing solutions. You will define system architectures, drive requirements, and oversee integration and verification of multi-domain systems for air, land, naval, and civil applications. Partner with cross-functional engineering, production, and program teams to ensure safety, reliability, and manufacturability. You will mentor engineers, champion MBSE and best practices, and contribute to long-term technology roadmaps in Saab's innovative, mission-driven, global environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead systems architecture, requirements definition, and allocation for complex defense and manufacturing solutions
- Oversee integration, verification, and validation of multi-domain systems across the product lifecycle
- Collaborate with design, manufacturing, software, and test teams to ensure safety, reliability, and manufacturability
- Apply and advance MBSE, configuration management, and systems engineering best practices
- Identify and manage technical risks, issues, and trade studies for major programs
- Mentor and guide systems engineers, contributing to capability and process improvement
- Support customer, regulatory, and internal design reviews and documentation
