DescriptionCompany: VENESCO, LLC (SSIVen JV)Location: Pentagon, Arlington, VA On-site / In OfficeSchedule: Full-TimeHours: 40 hours/week, Monday–Friday, 0730–1500(Alternate hours may be required as specified by the Government)Start Date: Immediate (two-week notice acceptable)Salary Range: $64,000 – $65,000 annuallyClearance Requirement:Active Secret clearance requiredTS/SCI preferredPosition OverviewThe Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) Analyst will provide advisory and assistance services to the Office of the Secretary of the Air Force (SAF), Administration and Management, Department of the Air Force Governance Division, Information Management Access Branch .This role supports Headquarters Department of the Air Force operations by managing and executing Command-level FOIA and Privacy Act (PA) programs , ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and Air Force directives. The analyst will be responsible for processing, tracking, and closing FOIA/PA requests efficiently and accurately.Key ResponsibilitiesManage the Headquarters Department of the Air Force FOIA and Privacy Act (PA) ProgramsProcess and track FOIA/PA requests from intake through final dispositionEnsure compliance with FOIA, PA, Air Force directives, and public lawInterpret and apply complex laws, regulations, and policies related to information accessCoordinate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to gather and review responsive documentsReview records for disclosure, redaction, and release determinationsPrepare written correspondence, reports, and responses to FOIA/PA requestsConduct research and analysis related to the review and declassification of classified recordsNegotiate with submitters and requestors to clarify requests and facilitate release decisionsReview administrative audits and Inspector General (IG) reports and recommend corrective actionsWork closely with SAF/IG and maintain strong professional working relationshipsClose an average of 15–20 FOIA/PA cases per monthEnsure all requests meet intake requirements and statutory deadlinesRequired QualificationsDemonstrated experience supporting FOIA and Privacy Act ProgramsStrong working knowledge of Privacy Act exemptionsAbility to interpret and apply complex federal laws and regulationsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong organizational skills and attention to detailAbility to manage deadlines and multiple cases simultaneouslyActive Secret clearancePreferred QualificationsTS/SCI clearancePrior military or Department of Defense experienceExperience supporting Headquarters-level or Command-level FOIA programs#J-18808-Ljbffr
