Department:Public WorksAbout Our JobSarasota County is looking for a Contract Analyst who is responsible for supervising staff and managing all aspects of contract responsibilities in the Public Works Department for Transportation and Field Services. You will act as a liaison between the Public Works Business Office and Procurement. Collaboration is key in this position.Job DescriptionAct as Administrative Agent on all Transportation and Field Service Contracts.Assist the Contract Manager to plan all future contractual services, agreements, quick quotes, pre-qualified bids, cooperative purchases, and work assignments.Manage a business unit program/work team and budget; monitor unit/program outcomesEstablish performance measures; coach/counsel/develop direct reportsAssist with development of preventative maintenance plans and schedulesDevelop/implement program policies, procedures and/or job requirementsIdentify/address operational issues; assist with quality assurance/controlManage/review/write/prepare grants, contracts and/or RFP'sConduct program/project/job cost analysis and generates reportsProcure materials and services; coordinates external resources/vendorsMonitor/adjust job plans as needed; facilitate internal/external trainingsEnsure compliance of regulatory/county principles, policies, practicesBuild strong internal relationships and community partnershipsIdentify trends and/or problems through statistical analysis and prepare complex/statistical reports and presentationsPresent to the BCC and/or external groupsHours: Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. -5:00 p.m.About YouMinimum Qualifications: A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Public Administration, Business, Finance, Planning, Industrial/Engineering Technology and two (2) years job-related experience OR Six (6) years professional job-related experience can be substituted at management discretion for the required education OR Related professional program / project management may substitute for the required education at management discretion.Preferred QualificationsMicrosoft Office products.
