Senior Program Analyst - 71000702
The incumbent in this position will work independently to assist the Florida Accreditation Office Executive Director in complex administrative tasks and perform consulting and problem solving responsibilities. A Program Manager for the Commission for Florida Law Enforcement Accreditation (CFA) and the Florida Corrections Accreditation Commission (FCAC), will service approximately 160 law enforcement and corrections agencies in an assigned region of the state.
Specific duties include:
- Maintaining contact and providing support with corrections and law enforcement accreditation managers to ensure successful completion of accreditation/reaccreditation process;
- Investigating, assessing and making recommendations to resolve issues and programmatic operational problems;
- Ensuring proper tracking of all agencies throughout the assigned region that are in various stages of the accreditation process;
- Advising Executive Director of any areas affecting operational impact;
- Serving on various Commission committees as required.
Using critical thought processes to provide input for various reports, manuals and other documents; Reviewing administrative policies, procedures, guidelines and related directives, evaluates impact on operations, identifies potential problems, and recommends appropriate action; Conducting outreach activities and serves as staff liaison to increase the number of agencies in the accreditation process; Representing Executive Director/Commission at various Chiefs and Sheriffs Association meetings, PAC meetings, or outside organizations, as requested; Providing interpretations of accreditation standards; and Designing curriculum and delivers various accreditation related training to existing and potential CEOs, Command Staff, and/or other personnel.
Ability to collect, evaluate and analyze data to develop alternative recommendations, solve problems, document work flow and other activities relating to the improvement of operational and management practices; Ability to write using good punctuation and spelling; Ability and desire to provide accurate and timely responses to questions related to computer system services; Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others; Ability to follow established rules and procedures; Ability to train others; Ability to work in a teamwork environment; Ability to navigate in a Windows environment on personal computers; Knowledge of the Florida accreditation process; and Ability to communicate clearly with customers in clear and concise manner.
Base salary: $57,457.66
