Risk Manager/ Program Analyst (5651)Huntsville, ALThe PATRIOT Ground Support Equipment Product Office is seeking a Program Analyst to serve as the Product Office Risk Manager. In this position, the successful candidate will serve a vital, primary role managing a recurring process that helps communicate Product Office needs and requirements within the Risk Management Framework to the Portfolio Acquisition Executive and to the Army.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesIdentifies, assesses, tracks, and defines mitigation of programmatic and technical risks for the PATRIOT and RIG-360 programs throughout the lifecycleSupports program leadership by maintaining the program risk register in the Army Risk Management System (ARMS)Facilitates risk-management boards; analyzes cost, schedule, technical, manufacturing, test, cybersecurity, sustainment, and integration risksDevelops mitigation plans with responsible owners and due datesPrepares decision-quality risk briefings and reports for the Product Manager and Program leadershipEnsures risks are documented and escalated at the appropriate levelIntegrates risk considerations into acquisition strategies, program reviews, milestones, and contract actionsCoordinates with functional teams to promote early risk identification and informed leadership decisionsPerforms other operations support duties, as assignedRequired Skills & ExperienceClearance Required: SecretBachelor's degree or higher5+ years of experience supporting Department of War acquisition programsDemonstrated understanding of and experience applying the Army risk-management process in support of acquisition or sustainment programsDemonstrated critical-thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skillsExceptional oral and written communication skills, including the ability to prepare concise, decision-quality briefings and reportsStrong briefing and facilitation skills, including experience leading or supporting boards, working groups, or planning teamsStrong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPointDesired Skills & ExperienceExperience supporting Army acquisition programs and complex weapon-system or integrated-system portfoliosExperience using ARMS or comparable risk-management tools to maintain risk registers and prepare risk reportsFamiliarity with acquisition lifecycle processes, program reviews, milestone events, and contract actionsExperience facilitating Integrated Product Team meetings and senior-leader decision briefingsFamiliarity with cost, schedule, technical, cybersecurity, manufacturing, test, integration, and sustainment risk areasProficiency in MS SharePoint and Teams architectureThe proposed salary for this position is:$93,000 - $156,000 USDSMX is an Equal Opportunity employer including disabilities and veterans.
