Description
The Assistant Acquisition Specialist supports land rights and right of way activities by assisting with landowner outreach, access coordination, easement acquisition, and routine documentation. The Assistant Acquisition Specialist role works to help secure survey and construction access while maintaining accurate records and positive landowner relationships.
- Assist with landowner outreach, through phone calls, emails, letters, and in-person visits.
- Support negotiation preparation by gathering property information, ownership records, and access requirements.
- Coordinate survey and construction access schedules with landowners and field teams.
- Negotiate with landowners for the acquisition of land rights.
- Deliver and collect routine land rights documents and agreements.
- Maintain accurate records of landowner contacts, access status, and documentation in tracking systems.
- Support execution, filing, and distribution of agreements under supervision.
- Escalate access issues or landowner concerns to senior staff as needed.
- Ensure compliance with company safety policies and protocols.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Complies with all policies and standards.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent and 4 years related experience required.
- Or, Associate Degree in a related field and 2 years related experience.
- Or, Bachelor Degree in Planning, Business, Real Estate, or a related field.
- Real Estate License preferred but not required. Licensing requirements may vary by State based on job responsibilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in the use of computer software (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to travel to project sites, as required.
- Valid driver's license required.
Compensation
$32.00-51.00 Yearly
The expected compensation range for this position is displayed in compliance with all local/state regulations. The expected compensation range for this position is based on a number of factors, including but not limited to: individual education, qualifications, prior work experience and work location. The total annual compensation package will consist of a base salary and eligibility to participate in our discretionary year-end incentive bonus program.
