Overview
This is 100% remote position. CHLA requires a primary residence in California prior to start date.
Schedule: Monday-Friday, Day Shift
Purpose Statement/Position Summary: The Strategic Sourcing and Contract Specialist is responsible for managing CHLA's purchased supplies and services contracts through the analysis, execution, and optimization of both individual and Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) agreements. This role facilitates competitive sourcing activities - including Requests for Proposals (RFPs), supplier evaluations, and market analysis - to secure the best financial and operational value for the organization.
The Specialist partners with internal stakeholders, Contract Administration, and external suppliers to negotiate favorable terms, conduct contract redlining, mitigate risks, and ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements. The role also manages contract workflows within CHLA's Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) system and continuously monitors contract performance to identify cost‑savings opportunities, support renewal decisions, and ensure alignment with CHLA's strategic objectives.
Minimum Qualifications/Work Experience:
Required:
1+ years of supply chain management, procurement, or operations experience.
Knowledge of supply chain management and procurement processes.
Broad understanding of contracts, purchase order terms and conditions.
Strong customer service skills.
Preferred:
- 2+ years of experience in healthcare supply chain/procurement.
Education/Licensure/Certification:
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (business, logistics, supply chain management, or another related field)
OR
- Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
Preferred:
Certified Materials & Resource Professional (CMRP)
Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM)
ASCM Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP)
Certified International Procurement Professional (CIPP)
Pay Scale Information
$71,760.00-$87,360.00

Final determination of a successful candidate's starting pay will vary based on a number of factors, including, but not limited to, education and experience within the job or the industry. The pay scale listed for this position is generally for candidates who meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed on this specific job description.
