But we all share one goal: to improve the world responsibly and safely.Position SummaryThe Deputy I&T Lead works directly with the Principal I&T Lead to plan, coordinate, and execute all integration and testing activities for the DAVINCI Descent Sphere. This role demands a highly technical and adaptable leader with specialized experience in extreme environmental testing (specifically high temperature and/or pressure testing) and rapid prototyping. The Deputy I&T Lead will play a crucial role in hardware procurement, test data management, anomaly resolution, and ensuring strict adherence to GSFC documentation and safety processes throughout the build and verification of the descent sphere.Key ResponsibilitiesTest Planning & Execution: Support the daily direction of I&T floor operations. Specifically, lead the design, setup, and execution of high temperature and/or pressure testing campaigns for critical hardware and subsystems destined for extreme environments.Rapid Prototyping: Oversee and participate in rapid prototyping efforts to quickly develop, iterate, and validate test fixtures, Ground Support Equipment (GSE), and developmental hardware for the descent sphere.Procurement & SOW Development: Draft, review, and manage Statements of Work (SOWs) for the procurement of specialized test equipment, GSE, and external testing services required to maintain the DAVINCI I&T schedule.Documentation & Process Control: Author, review, and strictly control I&T documentation using standard GSFC processes. Ensure all activities are covered by approved Work Order Authorizations (WOAs), Procedures (PROCs), and Test Plans (PLANs).Anomaly Resolution: Actively manage hardware and software anomalies discovered during integration or environmental testing. Lead troubleshooting efforts and manage the Problem Report / Problem Failure Report (PR/PFR) lifecycle from initiation through root cause analysis and closure.Data Management: Utilize the Test Data Management System (TDMS) to securely log, organize, and analyze test data, ensuring it is readily available for verification and stakeholder review.Leadership & Coordination: Act as a liaison between systems engineering, quality assurance, and mechanical/electrical subsystem leads. Serve as the primary I&T Lead when the Principal Lead is unavailable.Minimum RequirementsBachelor's degree in related field such as Business Administration, Engineering, or Project Management.Minimum of 15 years of experience in Systems Engineering, Project management or related fields.Ability to work with diverse teams and Stakeholders.Basic CompensationJobs on this contract range from $164,900.00- $247,400. Pay range is specific to the Greenbelt, MD area. The offered rate will be based on the position, contract affordability, the selected candidate's working location, knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, and in consideration of internal parity.Additional CompensationKBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation.
