Public Safety Officer IDepartment: Public SafetySchedule: Full-Time | Rotating Shifts (Days/Evenings/Nights)Position SummaryThe Public Safety Officer I is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, staff, and property. This role provides exceptional customer service while enforcing organizational policies and responding to safety and security incidents.Key ResponsibilitiesPatrol assigned areas to ensure safety and security of facilities and groundsRespond promptly to emergency and non-emergency incidentsMonitor surveillance systems and access control pointsDe-escalate situations using sound judgment and professionalismPrepare detailed incident and activity reportsAssist patients, visitors, and staff with directions and general inquiriesEnforce organizational policies and proceduresCollaborate with local law enforcement and emergency responders as neededMinimum QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredValid driver's license with good driving record requiredMinimum of one (1) year of security, public safety, military, or related experience requiredAbility to pass background check and drug screeningStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to stand and walk for extended periodsPreferred QualificationsHealthcare security experienceCPR/AED certificationCrisis Prevention or de-escalation trainingWhy Join Us?Competitive pay and shift differentialsComprehensive benefits packageOpportunities for advancementTraining and professional developmentSalary Range: Minimum 17.70/hour - Maximum 28.00/hour.
