Summary

Job Summary

Under the direction of the Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources Development, performs clerical functions in maintaining health and welfare benefits and leave of absence programs. Position requires the exercise of independent judgment in the application and interpretation of complex rules, regulations and procedures related to benefits and retirement; frequent and responsible contact with other staff personnel; performs other job-related work as required.

The Personnel Technician II is a specialist level of the personnel technician group. Duties are of a complex nature within Human Resources Development. Incumbents must have sufficient knowledge to carry out tasks without constant supervision, to assist in the resolution of difficult problems, and to plan and conduct functions with a high degree of independent judgment, and must possess highly developed clerical skills.
