Additionally, the CSE Specialist supports federal audits, including Data Reliability Audits, by coordinating documentation and assisting auditors in verifying that information maintained in CSE systems is accurate and reliable.Experience RequirementsFive years of experience in child support enforcement; ORSix years of full-time work experience in any field plus two years of experience in child support enforcement; ORA bachelor's degree plus two years of experience in child support enforcement; ORA master's degree plus one year of experience in child support enforcement.Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.The official job specifications for this role, as defined by the State Civil Service, can be found here.Job DutiesInitial point of contact for initiating and responding intergovernmental child support requests received by the department through mail, fax, electronic mail or the Electronic Document Exchange.Makes initial determination of which service is necessary for each incoming case.Answers requests for information and resolves complaints by phone, email and correspondence from custodial and non-custodial parents, state agencies, employers, public officials, general, public, law enforcement officials and others.Serves as contact person for Louisiana Central Registry and State Administrator for the contacts available on Federal Intergovernmental Referral Guide.Images individual initiating interstate packets that received and process electronically.Serve as backup for all other interstate corresponding processing.Position-Specific DetailsAppointment Type: This position is open to current permanent classified employees of the State of Louisiana ONLY. Also, it may be filled as a detail and promoted within 12 months.Work ScheduleTypically, work hours are 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday – Friday. Flexible work schedules are available after meeting certain criteria and is dependent upon the position you are applying for.
