Meaningful, mission driven impactCollaborative and supportive work cultureJob Duties: Department for the Blind and Vision Impaired (DBVI) provide services and resources which empower individuals who are blind, vision impaired or deafblind to achieve their desired levels of employment, education, and personal independence.We are seeking a Library Services Support Specialist - #BVI00363 to provide the appropriate and adequate provision of adaptive equipment and materials to persons who are blind and vision impaired.Duties include but are not limited to:Education Services Inventory and CirculationNLS EquipmentRecords and ReportsReader Advisor SupportAssists with shelving and organizing materials with 95% accuracy on an ongoing basisAbility to package material and ship.Completes duties and/or projects as needed or directed by supervisor.Minimum Qualifications: Training/Experience:Training and experience in StorekeepingTraining and experience in Inventory ControlComputer Software and Database ExperienceWorking Knowledge:Inventory Control SystemsSkills:Attention to detailCustomer serviceOrganizationalData entryVerbal and written communicationAdditional Considerations: Experience working a library, resource center, or related field.Equipment handling skills.Demonstrated ability to keep records.Special Instructions This position has been designated a sensitive position under Va.
