We're looking for an ambitious self-starter who is hungry, smart, and has a passion for written and verbal communication. Your job will be focused on supporting senior members of the Public Affairs and Strategic Communications teams across a variety of client accounts and issues – and you'll have the opportunity to take on additional and significant responsibilities as we grow, with access to major decision-makers in media, policy, and Corporate America.Forward Global prides itself on being an entrepreneurial firm with a close-knit, supportive team of professionals. The integration of Government Affairs, Strategic Communications, and Public Affairs is integral to Forward Global's work; as such, team members are expected to work collaboratively. A successful Senior Consultant will be a highly motivated, dynamic, self-starter who thrives on autonomy.This is a fully in-person position in our Georgetown office, in Washington, DC.Key ResponsibilitiesServe as a client-supporting point of contact for 5-7 clients, regularly working to translate their business and policy priorities into worthy narratives and messagingConduct regular media monitoring, perform press outreach, and engage in creative storytelling with the mediaDevelop, foster, and maintain strategic relationships with journalists and the organizers of major tentpole eventsAssist in planning client-owned events, gatherings, and productionsSupports creation of original content, brand elevation, media coverage, and interview opportunities for clients and third partiesWriting and producing content with minimal edits for internal teams and clients including op-eds, press releases, reports, briefing books, client memos, talking points, and presentationsSupport additional client administrative tasks as required, such as budgets and client invoicingIdeal CandidateHave two to four years of political campaign, in-house, media or Capitol Hill experience, ideally working in press outreach, communications, or media-related industryExperience maintaining strong working relationships with members of the media.Are entrepreneurial – comfortable solving problems and creating a process from scratchAre comfortable with tasks large and small: You can prep a major executive or principal for media, but you're also comfortable shipping out client giftsAre a critical thinker who understands the drivers of the business and policy ecosystem, beyond communicationsAre deeply committed to client service and value deliveryAre comfortable building and maintaining a professional network supportive to personal professional development and supporting client needsAre comfortable, where applicable, registering to lobbyClosingAt Forward Global, we believe complex challenges require diverse perspectives.
