Summary

We are partnered with a new clinical research site in Plainview, NY, and they are looking to hire a board certified physician to work as a Principal Investigator on their industry-sponsored clinical research trials.

The site conducts Phase II–IV clinical trials across a variety of therapeutic areas, including Cardiology, Metabolic/Endocrine disorders, Obesity, Infectious Diseases, Vaccines, and Pain Management. This is a great opportunity to take on a leadership role at a new research site while helping bring innovative therapies to patients in the Long Island community.

This is a full-time, on-site, direct-hire opportunity with a base salary of 350K–400K plus performance and enrollment bonuses. The site will have dedicated CRC and administrative support, allowing the PI to focus primarily on medical oversight, patient safety, and trial execution.

They are looking for an MD or DO with an active New York medical license. Previous PI or Sub-Investigator experience is strongly preferred, although they are open to physicians who have strong clinical backgrounds and are interested in growing within clinical research.

Our client is actively interviewing candidates and are looking to have someone start prior to January 1.

Job Description:

You will ensure that all research is conducted with the highest ethical and professional standards, in strict compliance with study protocols, FDA regulations, and Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines. The ideal candidate is a collaborative medical leader passionate about bringing innovative, safe therapies to diverse patient populations.

  • Medical Oversight: Serve as the lead physician for assigned clinical trials (Phase II-IV), assuming ultimate responsibility for the safety and well-being of all study participants.
  • Protocol Execution: Conduct clinical trial visits, including physical examinations, medical history reviews, and the assessment of inclusion/exclusion criteria to determine participant eligibility.
  • Safety Monitoring: Promptly evaluate, manage, and report all Adverse Events (AEs) and Serious Adverse Events (SAEs) in accordance with sponsor requirements and regulatory guidelines.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all clinical activities adhere strictly to the study protocol, ICH/GCP guidelines, and FDA regulations.
  • Data Integrity: Review and sign off on laboratory results, ECGs, and electronic Case Report Forms (eCRFs) to ensure accurate and timely clinical data capture.

Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of Good Clinical Practice (GCP), FDA regulations, and standard clinical trial operations.
