Summary
Our client is looking for a Senior Payroll Coordinator to join their team!
Essential Responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities
- Process and support payroll for approximately 6,500 employees across multiple states.
- Process complex payroll transactions including bonuses, commissions, equity, salary changes, and deductions.
- Serve as a subject matter expert and trusted resource for payroll-related questions and complex payroll issues.
- Ensure payroll is processed accurately and in compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
- Manage and troubleshoot multi-state payroll tax matters across approximately 100+ tax IDs.
- Partner with internal teams to resolve payroll discrepancies and maintain payroll data integrity.
- Utilize advanced Excel skills for payroll reporting, audits, reconciliations, and analysis.
- Support payroll process improvements and ensure compliance with changing payroll laws and regulations.
- Ensure payroll compliance with all applicable labor laws and tax requirements.
- Assist in preparing payroll reports and responding to audits and internal reviews.
- Support documentation of payroll policies and standard operating procedures.
What We’re Looking For:
- 5+ years of high-volume, multi-state payroll experience.
- Experience processing payroll for at least 1,500 employees in a multi-state environment.
- Strong payroll tax knowledge, including multi-state payroll tax compliance.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong understanding of payroll regulations and compliance requirements.
- Working knowledge of payroll laws and compliance best practices.
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification is a plus.
