What You'll Do
As a Traveling Construction Superintendent, you'll oversee the day-to-day operations of commercial construction projects, ensuring schedules are met, quality standards are maintained, and crews have everything they need to succeed.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Project Execution
- Direct all on-site construction activities from start to finish
- Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and consultants to maintain project schedules
- Monitor project progress and proactively address potential issues
Maintain Quality Standards
- Conduct walkthroughs and inspections to ensure quality workmanship
- Verify compliance with project plans, specifications, and local building requirements
- Identify and resolve deficiencies before they impact schedules
Promote Jobsite Safety
- Enforce OSHA and company safety standards
- Perform routine safety inspections and site audits
- Foster a culture of safety and accountability
Manage Communication & Documentation
- Collaborate with Project Managers, clients, and trade partners
- Review RFIs, submittals, schedules, and project documentation
- Provide clear project updates and maintain accurate records
Lead and Develop Teams
- Create a positive, productive jobsite environment
- Build strong relationships with subcontractors and vendors
- Mentor and support team members to drive project success
Travel to Project Locations
- Travel up to 75% throughout the United States
- Manage multiple projects and priorities with confidence and professionalism

Qualifications
Required Experience
- 10+ years of commercial construction experience
- Minimum 7 years serving as a Superintendent
- Proven experience managing commercial construction projects
Education & Certifications
- OSHA 10 Certification required
- OSHA 30 Certification preferred
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Degree in Construction Management or related field preferred
Experience with:
- Procore
- Autodesk Construction Cloud
- Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Project)
Additional Requirements
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and safety documentation
- Ability to walk active construction sites, including elevated work areas
- Ability to lift up to 100 pounds
- Willingness to travel up to 75%
