Summary

The Opportunity

Our client is seeking an accomplished Senior Superintendent to lead the field execution of large, complex construction projects valued at approximately $100 million to $180 million+.


This is a senior field leadership position for a Superintendent who has successfully delivered major commercial projects and is comfortable taking ownership of the entire field operation—from mobilization through turnover.


The Senior Superintendent will serve as the primary field leader, coordinating project teams, subcontractors, schedules, safety, quality, logistics, and day-to-day construction activities while working closely with the Project Manager and company leadership.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all field operations on large-scale projects valued at $100M–$180M+
  • Develop and manage the overall construction plan, site logistics, sequencing, and field execution
  • Manage and mentor Superintendents, Assistant Superintendents, field engineers, foremen, and project personnel
  • Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, manpower, materials, and equipment
  • Drive the master construction schedule and short-term look-ahead schedules
  • Identify schedule risks and develop recovery plans when necessary
  • Partner closely with Project Managers and project executives regarding schedule, budget, changes, and client expectations
  • Lead subcontractor coordination meetings and maintain accountability for commitments
  • Maintain strong relationships with owners, architects, engineers, inspectors, and trade partners
  • Ensure the project meets companies high standards for safety, quality, schedule, and operational performance
  • Oversee inspections, quality control, punch-list completion, commissioning, and turnover
  • Maintain accurate field documentation and daily reporting
  • Proactively resolve constructability, sequencing, manpower, and field coordination issues
  • Develop the next generation of field leadership through coaching and mentoring

The successful candidate will be a proven construction field leader with experience managing highly complex, large-dollar projects.


Ideal experience includes:

  • 10–15+ years of progressive commercial construction experience
  • Significant experience as a Superintendent or Senior Superintendent
  • Demonstrated success leading $100M+ projects
  • Experience managing large subcontractor teams and multiple field leaders
  • Strong scheduling, sequencing, logistics, and constructability expertise
  • Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, schedules, and contract documents
  • Strong knowledge of construction safety and quality-control practices
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to build productive relationships with owners, design teams, subcontractors, and internal project teams
  • Experience taking major projects from early construction through final completion and turnover
