We are entrepreneurs with a technical soul, approaching strategic problems with solutions grounded in deep technical expertise.Hatch is currently looking for candidates to join the Advisory business practice for a 4-month summer internship or 4/8/12-month co-op term, based in our Brooklyn office. Successful candidates will assist in consulting engagements by collecting, analyzing, and presenting data to inform business decisions for Hatch's clients.The successful candidate must be adaptable, highly self-motivated, have the ability to work both independently as well as in a team environment, and be able to build and maintain strong relationships through excellent verbal and written communication.Responsibilities:Deconstructing high-level information to identify the underlying fundamental drivers and aggregating detailed information to inform a holistic understandingCritically evaluating information gathered from multiple sources and reconciling conflictsDeveloping and/or assisting in the preparation of cost models, financial models or business cases for projects and initiatives, for external clients and within HatchProactively communicating and collaborating with team members from within advisory and the engineering business units to analyze information needs and deliver written reports, presentations, and verbal reports, as neededCollating and summarizing information using data collected from existing data sources, document analysis, workshops, surveys, and business process descriptionsPreparing cases and scenarios to assist analysts and consultantsCollaborating with subject matter experts to analyze tradeoffs between planned objectives and business performance needsAssisting with administrative support, as requiredSuccessfully managing multiple initiatives simultaneouslyQualifications:Fluent in English, written and verbalCurrently enrolled in an Engineering, Science, Business, Commerce or Economics program at an accredited university (enrollment in a co-op program is an asset), with at least two years completed.
