Summary
Kelly Government Solutions is a strategic supplier and business partner to the federal government and its key suppliers. We are seeking a Scientist, Analytical Development to work on-site with the Vaccine Production Program at the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID)/National Institutes of Health (NIH) in Gaithersburg, MD.
This is a long-term contract position which offers:

KEY TASKS
(1) Assist with bioseparation projects focusing on monoclonal antibody and multi-specific antibody projects.
(2) Assist with two analytical core capabilities (chromatography techniques and electrophoresis techniques).
(3) Represent the assay development group for multiple project teams, including multi-specific antibodies as well as novel vaccine projects (e.g., mRNA/LNP vaccine projects).
(4) Design, guide and oversee lipid nanoparticle (LNP) analytical evaluation to support the mRNA vaccine capabilities
(5) Initiate, implement, plan, coordinate and execute scientific lab testing and method improvements, development and investigations.
(6) Work with a team to carry out testing and data reports. Make detailed observations, analyze data, generate reports, and interpret results.
(7) Contribute and take responsibility for team meeting project goals within time and budget constraints.
(8) Independently plan, design, investigate, troubleshoot and execute projects within a specific scientific field utilizing good scientific judgment on multiple projects at a given time.
(9) Develop research findings and make recommendations.
(10) Utilize forward-looking perspective to critically review and contribute to project decisions
(11) Coordinate peer-reviewed scientific publications.
KEY REQUIREMENTS
(1) Ph.D. in biochemistry, analytical chemistry, or related discipline
(2) Minimum of 3-4 years of experience related to developing and optimizing analytical methods for biopharmaceutical products
(3) Hands-on experience with chromatographic and electrophoretic analytical techniques to characterize biologics.
(4) Experience developing or evaluating analytical methods for mRNA vaccines and lipid nanoparticles (LNPs) preferred
