JOB TITLE: Program SpecialistCLASSIFICATION: Non-ExemptDEPARTMENT/DIVISION: Community Services/LibrarySUPERVISOR: Division Manager, Department Director, or DesigneeWe are hiring a Program Specialist for the Library's Community Engagement Team, with a primary focus on adult programming. This position is responsible for planning, marketing, facilitating, and evaluating monthly adult library programs, including both stand‑alone events and recurring series. The Program Specialist works under the direct supervision of the Senior Librarian of Community Engagement and collaborates with other programming staff, including the Youth Librarian, to ensure coordination of programs across age groups. Additional responsibilities include supporting special events, developing multi-generational programs, and assisting with limited library-wide marketing tasks. The role also develops the monthly library newsletter and contributes to the library's social media content.Position Summary:Under limited supervision of the Division Manager, Department Director or designee, coordinates and assesses programs and community-wide special events, generates public information for the Community Services Department or Division, assists in the development, production, and distribution of information for cooperative activities involving the division, department, the county, related community service providers, and the community. Maintains confidentiality of all privileged information.Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent combination of education and related work experience.Two years' experience developing, promoting, and/or implementing successful special events.Preferred Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Marketing, Administration, Communication, Art, Writing, or related field.Grant writing experience.Web page content and layout design experience.Valid New Mexico driver's license.#J-18808-Ljbffr
