Summary

Duties

Analyze sensitive program and management issues; develop policy options, recommendations, and briefings; help carry out the Director's agenda.

Plan and coordinate Director-assigned initiatives, set milestones with senior leaders, monitor progress, and address barriers.

Evaluate crosscutting programs, management issues, and resource considerations; lead workgroups and present findings to senior officials.

Represent the Director when designated; coordinate with IHS, HHS, other federal agencies, Tribal partners, and other stakeholders; help resolve shared issues.

Assess legislative proposals affecting IHS and prepare recommendations and supporting materials.
