About the Company

Just Construction is working with an established General Contractor seeking an experienced Superintendent to join their Charlotte team.

About the Role

The Superintendent will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day field operations and ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to a high standard of quality. The ideal candidate will have strong commercial construction experience and be comfortable leading subcontractors, coordinating trades, managing schedules, and working closely with Project Managers, owners, architects, and consultants.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all day-to-day field operations on commercial construction projects.
• Manage and coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel.
• Develop and maintain project schedules and short-term look-ahead schedules.
• Coordinate sequencing and workflow between all trades.
• Lead subcontractor coordination and project progress meetings.
• Monitor jobsite safety and enforce company safety procedures.
• Maintain quality-control standards throughout construction.
• Review plans, drawings, specifications, RFIs, and submittals.
• Identify and resolve field conflicts and constructability issues.
• Coordinate inspections, testing, commissioning, punch list, and closeout activities.
• Maintain accurate daily reports, site documentation, and project records.
• Coordinate material deliveries, site logistics, manpower, and equipment.
• Work closely with the Project Manager to maintain schedule, budget, and project objectives.
• Communicate regularly with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and internal teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial construction experience as a Superintendent.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of commercial construction practices and processes.
• Proven ability to manage multiple subcontractors and trades.
• Strong understanding of project scheduling and sequencing.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage a fast-paced jobsite while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Preferred Skills

• Procore or similar construction management software experience preferred.
• OSHA 30 preferred.
