OVERVIEW

Our Retail Wireless organization moves at an incredible pace, and you will be the bridge that connects cross-functional business priorities with world-class financial and indirect sourcing discipline. In this high-visibility role, you will drive our commercial, digital, and go-to-market (GTM) indirect categories—embedding directly with business leaders to translate retail and digital growth strategies into high-performing supplier ecosystems. From negotiating high-stakes agency and ad-tech partnerships to sourcing cutting-edge capabilities for our next-generation mobile app and digital storefronts, you will provide the commercial agility, contract governance, and market intelligence required to scale retail presence.

What Success Looks Like (Objectives)

  • Achieve measurable cost optimization and performance improvements within your first 90 days by identifying and executing high-stakes RFP/RFQ events across critical commercial, technology, and business services categories
  • Partner deeply with Business Units, Legal, and Finance to ensure sourcing solutions are not just transactions, but strategic alignments with our broader organizational OKRs
  • Leading the full lifecycle of complex commercial, software, and services contracts, you will balance aggressive speed-to-market needs with long-term operational and legal health
  • Presenting data-backed supplier recommendations to executive stakeholders will be a core part of how you influence our competitive trajectory
  • Standardize sourcing processes across the enterprise to ensure compliance and ethical practices remain consistent as we scale
  • Utilize AI-driven procurement tools and spend analysis platforms to move from reactive purchasing to proactive, trend-informed strategic planning

Core Skills and Competencies (What you'll bring)

  • Strong category expertise across indirect spend, with the demonstrated ability to navigate the nuances of professional services, software/SaaS, and marketing suppliers with ease
  • Exceptional negotiation and influence skills that empower you to champion the company's mission during difficult high-risk supplier discussions
  • Analytical prowess in evaluating historical spend data to offer practical solutions and rational judgments that optimize our resources
  • Advanced contract drafting capabilities that enable you to collaborate effectively with legal teams to refine complex language without sacrificing business speed
  • High standards of excellence and a bias for action when managing multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced wireless environment
  • Deep commitment to ethical sourcing and values, ensuring that all supplier relationships reflect our social, data privacy, and governance responsibilities
  • AI Literacy to explore and apply emerging technologies that enhance data interpretation and automate routine sourcing workflows

Additional Qualifications: Successful candidates will typically have:

  • Master's degree (MBA or related field)
  • Demonstrated experience sourcing a diverse portfolio of indirect categories (e.g., professional services, software/technology, and marketing)
  • A proven track record of leading cross-functional initiatives and influencing C-suite stakeholders

Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Finance, or a related field
  • Minimum Experience: 7 years of progressive experience in strategic sourcing, commercial procurement, or indirect supply chain
  • Required Technical Skills: Must have at least 7 years of experience with:
  • Executing complex RFX (RFP, RFQ, RFI) events
  • Strategic contract negotiation and drafting
  • Managing complex indirect vendor categories (e.g., professional services, software, or marketing)
