Program Specialist

This Program Specialist position is located at John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK), Transportation Security Administration, Department of Homeland Security (DHS). Duties include but are not limited to:

• Working closely with the Federal Security Director (FSD) to coordinate, implement, and maintain an effective program to communicate TSA's policies, programs, and directives.
• Identifying and responding to stakeholders' questions, problems, and concerns regarding security.
• Overseeing and addressing customer service inquiries.
• Identifying and responding to opportunities to further the aims of the organization to the public.
• Managing and supporting the collection of various performance metrics to identify inefficiencies and areas in need of process improvement.
• Managing supplies, including both procurement and inventory management.
• Coordinating solutions to information technology (IT) problems; coordinating staff efforts concerning the acquisition and use of specialized software applications.
• Conducting in-depth analyses regarding potential conflicts of airport administrative procedures with overall TSA administrative policies.
• Providing airport management with status reports and planned activities in assigned program areas.
• Providing management advisory services to the FSD staff and providing the first line response to airport employee inquiries.
