Location: Hydro East Territory | Field-Based / Travel Required

Position Summary

Insight Global is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent/Implementation Manager to support construction projects across multiple hydro facilities and project sites. This individual will provide hands-on field oversight of installation contractors and serve as a primary point of contact onsite. This role will work closely with Project Leads, site personnel, and contractors to ensure construction activities are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide field oversight of installation contractors and monitor day-to-day construction activities.
  • Review project scopes, specifications, contracts, schedules, and execution plans.
  • Participate in project planning, installation kickoffs, pre-outage planning, and construction meetings.

  • Verify required permits, contractor qualifications, safety training, and LOTO requirements are in place.
  • Monitor compliance with safety, environmental, NERC/CIP, FME, site security, and quality requirements.
  • Coordinate field changes, extra work, critical lifts, and construction issues with project leadership.
  • Provide daily and weekly project updates and escalate safety, schedule, or construction concerns.
  • Support punch-list completion and ensure accurate red-line/as-built drawings are maintained.
  • Participate in post-project debriefs and document lessons learned.

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of related experience with a 2-year technical/associate degree OR 15+ years of related experience without a degree.
  • Strong construction background with significant field and contractor oversight experience.
  • Previous experience as a Construction Superintendent, General Foreman, Construction Lead, or similar field leadership role.
  • Strong understanding of construction safety, field execution, and contractor management.
  • Ability to oversee multiple projects and travel between assigned project locations.
  • Experience supporting large and/or complex construction projects.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Hydroelectric/hydro construction or project experience.
  • Marine construction experience will also be considered highly relevant.
  • Experience overseeing multiple contractors or construction projects simultaneously.

What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate is someone who has spent significant time in the field leading construction work, rather than solely managing projects from an office. We’re looking for someone comfortable overseeing contractors, walking active construction sites, identifying potential safety or execution issues, and working closely with project leadership to keep work moving safely and on schedule.
