We are currently seeking aDetention Officerwho has a passion for providing the highest quality carein an institutional, secure setting.Come join a team that is dedicated tomaking an impact for the people and communities we serve.\nTheDetention Officer performs routine duties in accordance with establishedpolicies, regulations and procedures to maintain order and provide for thesecurity, care and direct supervision of inmates/residents in housing units, atmeals, during recreation, on work assignments and during all other phases ofactivity in a correctional facility.Mayemploy weapons or force to maintain discipline and order.Must be able to work any post assignment onany shift.\n\nResponsible for maintaining order, safety, and security of residents in a correctional facility.\nEngage in a variety of interchangeable work areas that includes, but is not limited to, armory/key control, housing units, kitchen, medical, visitation, etc.\n\nQualifications:\n\nHigh school diploma, GED certification or equivalent.\nMust complete pre-service correctional officer training and, where applicable, be a non-commissioned security officer licensed by the state of employment.\nA valid driver's license and clear driving record is required.\nDemonstrate ability to complete any required training, as established or necessary to meet contract requirements and/or standards.\nMinimum age requirement: Must be at least 21 years of age.\n\nCoreCivic is a Drug-Free Workplace & EOE including Disability/Veteran.\n \n
