Summary
Role Overview
The Finance Deputy will work as part of a collaborative, high-performing finance team to execute hard dollar individual giving programs across a diverse portfolio of both Republican and Democratic candidates. Because this role operates at a strategic team level, it does not involve managing candidate call time. Instead, your mandate is to build, scale, and activate a massive infrastructure of national supporters of all levels.
The ideal candidate is a pragmatic, metrics-driven professional who can seamlessly navigate the distinct donor ecosystems of both major political parties. You are highly organized, analytical, and ready to manage multi-million-dollar hard-money pipelines within a collaborative team environment.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Cross-Partisan Portfolio Management: Help manage hard-dollar fundraising pipelines for a slate of both Republican and Democratic candidates, ensuring all targets are met using compliant, capped individual contributions.
- Network Cultivation: Recruit and structurally support a national network of supporters across both sides of the aisle to maximize outreach.
- Strategic Pipeline Sourcing: Collaborate with the internal research team to identify crossover donors and moderate/ideological givers who routinely write max-out hard dollar checks to both parties.
- Team & Database Alignment: Work seamlessly with the broader finance team to segment donor lists, track pledges within CRM, and analyze real-time revenue trends.
- Multi-Jurisdictional Compliance: Maintain flawless adherence to Federal Election Commission (FEC) individual contribution limits.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree
- Experience: 2+ years of direct candidate, PAC, or firm-level political fundraising experience, with a proven track record of meeting multi-candidate field budgets.
- Bipartisan Savvy: A deep, professional understanding of both the Democratic and Republican fundraising landscapes, donor cultures, and regional financial networks.
- Technical Proficiency: Experience with CRM software for donor tracking, pledge management, and complex list segmentation.
- Campaign Finance Expertise: Comprehensive working knowledge of current FEC rules and contribution limits
- Collaboration & Execution: Superior project management and multitasking skills, with a demonstrated ability to work effectively inside a team environment where responsibilities are shared.
