Deputy SheriffThe Deputy Sheriff is a sworn law enforcement professional responsible for providing court security, serving civil and criminal process, transporting prisoners, and executing court orders as authorized by 42 Pa.C.S. § 2921 and applicable statutes. This role includes providing protective services for the Courts of Adams County and assisting other law enforcement agencies when requested and authorized by law under the direct supervision of the Sheriff or Chief Deputy Sheriff.A County of Adams Deputy Sheriff's main responsibility is to serve and protect the citizens of Adams County by providing security for the Courts, executing court orders, serving civil and criminal process, and ensuring the safety and integrity of the judicial system through professional, ethical, and dedicated service.NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY - TRAINING PROVIDED Previous law enforcement, military, or legal / judicial experience preferred.This is a part time regular position, up to 25 hours per week.
