ZONING INVESTIGATOR

Summary

The Jackson Township Board of Trustees is accepting applications for the position of full-time Zoning Investigator in the Zoning Department. This position is responsible for performing zoning duties, including field inspections to verify compliance with the zoning resolution; investigating zoning and nuisance complaints; meeting with property owners to resolve compliance issues; process zoning permits; perform all other duties as assigned by the Zoning Inspector.Qualifications & Requirements:Applicants must be a United States citizen and eighteen (18) years of age;Possess a high school diploma or equivalent;Basic knowledge of local government and Township principles.Zoning experience is not required but preferred.Applications will be accepted until November 11, 2026 at 4:00 p.m.Benefits & Salary:This position is eligible for a full range of Township benefits including:Medical, prescription, dental and vision insurance;Ohio Public Employees Retirement System (OPERS);Paid vacation, sick and personal leave;15k Township Paid Life Insurance Policy;Supplemental Life Insurance Policies;Flexible Spending Account.Depending upon experience, the starting hourly pay range for this position is $25.00.Applications, resumes and cover letters are subject to public disclosure in accordance with the Ohio Revised Code.
