This role operates heavy equipment, assists field crews, performs routine equipment checks, and helps ensure safe and efficient job-site operations. Work is performed outdoors in all weather conditions, and travel to job sites—including overnight out-of-town assignments—is required.Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, backhoes, trenchers, skid steers, and rock saws# Perform excavation, trenching, backfilling, and site preparation# Assist crews with groundwork and installation tasks# Complete daily equipment inspections and report maintenance needs# Follow all safety procedures and maintain awareness of underground and overhead utilities# Load, unload, and secure equipment and materials# Work outdoors in all weather and terrain conditions# Travel to job sites, including overnight out-of-town assignments; overtime may be required# Participate in required training and perform traffic control as neededHealth, dental, and vision insurance# Experience operating heavy construction equipment; Strong understanding of job-site safety and utility-location awareness# CDL preferred or willingness to obtain# Ability to work outdoors and travel as neededAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, creed, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, marital status, veteran status, genetic information, or any other characteristic protected by law.
