Government Jobs
  • Paid Campus Growth Intern — Columbia University

  • Ami
  • New York, New York United States US View Map

Summary

Ami is a spatial network that helps you see where your network is gathered, discover where to go, and connect with people who share mutual friends and places.

We’re looking for Columbia students who are plugged into campus communities and want hands-on experience growing a consumer social startup.

What you’ll do

• Bring Ami into the clubs, organizations and social groups you’re already part of.

• Use Rendezvous, Ami’s event feature, to organize invitations and communication for existing club gatherings and new community events.

• Help attendees get set up on Ami and understand how to use it/gain value from it.

• Build relationships with student organizers and introduce other potential campus interns.

• Share student feedback and product issues with the Ami team for product iteration.

• Post a weekly Slack update covering completed events, upcoming gatherings, progress toward your monthly goal and any blockers.

Your goals

• Generate at least 100 attendee location snaps across your Rendezvous each month.

• Onboard 2+ retained student organizations.

• Aim for 25+ snapped attendees per event.

• Keep your event information and weekly progress reports up to date.

A “snap” means Ami records an attendee as present at the Rendezvous venue during the event. Each person counts once per event, even if they leave and return. The same person can count again at another event; they don’t need to be a new Ami user. Invitations, RSVPs and claimed tickets alone don’t count.

Compensation

• A $400 monthly minimum when you reach 100 snaps. This is a floor against event earnings—not an additional $400 payment.

• $300 for each qualifying club- or organization-themed event with at least 25 snapped attendees.

• You still receive earned qualifying-event fees if you fall below 100 snaps in a month.

• $200 for each additional intern you refer who completes their first month with 100 snaps and submits their weekly reports.

Monthly periods run from your start date. Continued participation requires meeting the monthly 100-snap goal, unless your supervisor approves an exception. Applicable wage requirements remain in effect.

Who you are

• A current Columbia student with strong connections to campus clubs or social communities.

• Confidence in reaching out, bringing people together and helping friends try something new.

• Organized, proactive and reliable about follow-through.

• Interested in consumer apps, community building, marketing or tech startups.

Getting started

Share the clubs and groups you can reach, their estimated sizes and their upcoming events. We’ll provide hands-on onboarding and help set up your first Rendezvous. Event budgets and subsidies require Grace’s approval in advance.
