Construction Superintendent

Summary

Pay Range: $80-120k Based on experience.

Location: South Baldwin County

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Construction Superintendent to oversee day-to-day field operations and ensure construction projects are completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and within established quality standards.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background managing commercial construction projects, including retail, government, and other commercial developments. This individual should be a hands-on leader who can coordinate subcontractors, manage jobsite activities, communicate effectively with project management, and keep projects moving forward.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily on-site construction activities from project start through completion.
• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel.
• Develop and maintain construction schedules to ensure projects remain on track.
• Monitor jobsite safety and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company standards.
• Review construction plans, specifications, and project documents to ensure work is completed according to requirements.
• Conduct regular site inspections to maintain quality control and identify potential issues.
• Coordinate material deliveries, equipment, and other jobsite resources.
• Communicate project updates, progress, and potential challenges to project management.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Superintendent in commercial construction is required.
• Experience with commercial, retail, government, or similar construction projects.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, scheduling, blueprints, and project specifications.
• Experience managing subcontractors and coordinating multiple trades.
• Knowledge of jobsite safety regulations and construction best practices.
