The JobArrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) is recruiting for
Hospital Security Officers II who perform a variety of functions to ensure the personal safety of employees, patients and visitors while securing the hospital buildings and grounds. Duties include patrolling the interior and exterior areas of the facility; escorting visitors and staff; performing crowd control; responding to and investigating reports on thefts, and trips/falls; responding to emergency situations involving bomb threats, civil disturbances, and code blue calls; acting as a liaison with law enforcement and assisting with command center operations; assigning and reviewing the work of Security Officers I on an assigned shift; training staff, and providing input into the hiring, disciplinary and work performance evaluation process.

Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) is a state-of-the-art, public/nonprofit, 456-bed, university affiliated teaching hospital licensed by the State of California Department of Public Health and accredited by The Joint Commission. The hospital houses a regional burn center serving four counties (San Bernardino, Riverside, Mono and Inyo), a comprehensive stroke center, level I trauma center and a freestanding in-patient behavioral health center. Additionally, ARMC operates five community-based, primary care clinics and over 40 specialty care outpatient services. ARMC is the primary teaching hospital for the adjacently located California University of Science and Medicine (CUSM), the Inland Empire's newest medical school.

TRADITIONAL BENEFITS OPTION MODIFIED BENEFITS OPTION CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT Shift Availability: ARMC is a 24-hour facility; applicants must be available to work all shifts, including weekends and holidays. Indicate shift availability on the Supplemental Questionnaire; not indicating availability to work all shifts will result in removal from the recruitment process.
License: A valid
California Class C driver license is required at time of appointment. Employees are required to drive county vehicles.
Pre-Employment Process: Applicants selected for these positions must pass a background investigation, verification of employment history and education.
Assignment: The assignment involves transporting decedents to the hospital morgue.
Certification: The work environment may involve exposure to assaultive and combative patients and visitors. Successful completion of Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB) training within 60 days of employment is required. The MAB certification must be maintained while employed.

Minimum RequirementsCandidates must possess ALL of the following:Registration: Must possess and maintain a current Guard Registration Card issued by the Bureau of Security and Investigative Services of California.
-AND-License: Must possess and maintain a valid California Class C driver license.
-AND-Experience: One (1) year of full-time work experience as a security guard or military or civilian law enforcement officer.
-AND-Availability: Must be available to work
ALL SHIFTS: Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, Rotating, Swing, and Holidays .
Desired QualificationsThe ideal candidate has supervisory or lead worker experience, works successfully as part of a team and possesses excellent customer service skills. Experience in an acute care hospital is preferred.
