    Job Summary

    Under the direction of the Assistant Athletic Director for Ticket Operations, Sales, and Customer Service, this position is responsible for driving revenue growth through innovative sales strategies, proactive outreach, and exceptional customer engagement. The role focuses on maximizing sales of season tickets, group packages, and promotional events by cultivating strong relationships with fans and community partners. This position plays a key role in achieving individual and departmental sales goals while enhancing the overall game-day experience and advancing the success of Long Beach State Athletics.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Ticket Sales - Develop, implement, and lead comprehensive sales strategies to drive revenue across season tickets, partial plans, group packages, premium seating, and promotional programs. Identify, cultivate, and secure new business through proactive prospecting, networking, and partnership development with corporations, community organizations, and local businesses. Design and execute themed group nights, promotional campaigns, and premium experiences in collaboration with marketing and game operations.
    • Ticket Sales Analytics - Design and execute data-driven sales campaigns by analyzing CRM data, historical purchasing behavior, and fan engagement trends. Lead the evaluation of promotional campaign effectiveness through detailed reporting of open rates, click-throughs, and conversion analysis. Provide leadership with actionable insights on attendance trends, fan behavior, and revenue projections by running and interpreting ticket scanning, sales, and renewal reports.
    • Sport/Event Ticketing Operations - Lead and coordinate all phases of ticket operations for renewals, allocations, premium seating, and event-day logistics, ensuring efficiency and exceptional fan experiences. Serve as liaison with season ticket holders, premium clients, and group leaders, providing proactive communication and customized engagement strategies.

Known for consistently delivering results in high-pressure environments, they also exhibit excellent customer service skills across all communication channels and are proficient in basic computer applications.

    Ability to communicate with an ethnically and culturally diverse campus community.     Education and Experience

    • Equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in a related field and two years of related experience required.

    • Previous experience working in a Division I environment preferred.

    • Experience using Paciolan is preferred.

    Physical Summary

    • Sedentary work - Involves mainly sitting. Walking and standing are minimal. Lifting is limited to lightweight objects. (10 pounds or less).


    Licenses / Certificates

    • Valid CA driver's license required.

    Employees who are required to operate motorized vehicles and/or use their personal vehicle more than once a month on university business are required to take a mandatory Defensive Driving course and enroll in the DMV Employee Pull Notice (EPN) Program.

    Administrative Analyst/Specialist - Non-Exempt

    Effective 10/1/2025, a new salary step structure and job classifications will be implemented under the CSU-CSUEU Agreement. Job duties will remain unchanged; however, this position may be assigned to a new classification with an updated salary range. Employees will be notified of any changes.     Compensation

    Salary placement is determined by the education, experience, and qualifications the candidate brings to the position, internal equity, and the hiring department’s fiscal resources.

    CSU Classification Salary Range: The CSU Classification Salary Range for this position is $3,879 - $7,488 per month.

    Time Base

    1.0 time-base, 40 hours per week.

    Duration of Appointment

    This is a temporary position for 1 year with no permanent status granted. Temporary assignments may expire prior to the ending date.

    Additional Information

    Long Beach State Athletics is committed to following NCAA, Big West Conference, Golden Coast Conference, and Mountain Pacific Sports Federation rules and regulations. Therefore, the incumbent is required to maintain a working knowledge of these rules and regulations.

    A background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily and is required for employment. CSULB will make a conditional offer of employment, which may be rescinded if the background check reveals disqualifying information, and/or it is discovered that the candidate knowingly withheld or falsified information.
