    Who We Are (Venues - Lead Security)

    An Orlando Venues Lead Security Officer is a vital member of the Guest Experience Division for KIA Center, Camping World Stadium, and Mennello Museum. The Lead Security Officer provide first-level supervisory work involving security operations of the Orlando Venues; ensuring that all security assignments and protocols are followed; monitoring and reviewing security officer work; and assisting the Security Manager with establishing performance standards and personnel-related actions. They proactively protect facilities, clients, and the public from potential hazards as well as deter theft and criminal acts with their presence. Additional responsibilities include completing written incident reports, ensuring compliance with policies & procedures, assisting pedestrians with traffic crossing, being on alert for safety issues, and handling crowd control with discretion and diplomacy. The Lead Security Officers are expected to have good communication skills, exhibit a safety-first mindset, and conduct themselves with a high level of professionalism. Involves standing and walking for extended periods of time, climbing stairs, and working outdoors.

    Job Description:

    Performs first-level supervisory work involving the security operations of the Orlando Venues. Expected to exercise discretion and independent judgment while ensuring compliance with security procedures. Primary responsibilities include ensuring that all security assignments and protocols are followed; monitoring and reviewing security officer work; and assisting the Security Manager with establishing performance standards and personnel-related actions. Work is performed under the supervision of the Security Manager. Performance is reviewed through evaluation of surveillance reports, direct observation, discussions with management and patrons, and results obtained. Required to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    High School Diploma/G.E.D. Certificate and three (3) years security or law enforcement experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Valid Florida Driver's License required. Must pass background investigation which includes polygraph. Some lead or supervisory experience desired. CPR Certification and First Aid Card desired.

    If this posting indicates a degree is required, the following experience will apply in lieu of any degree as follows:
    • Two (2) years of direct experience for an associate degree;
    • Four (4) years of direct experience for a bachelor's degree;
    • Six (6) years of direct experience for a master's degree; or
    • Nine (9) years of direct experience for a doctoral degree.
