Manages Bill Frederick Park, a major City park offering traditional park services and recreational activities such as fishing, camping, disc golf courses, nature trails, a children’s farm, and boarding stables. Plans, organizes, and supervises assigned staff, activities, and resources, including land, water, facilities, and related resources at Bill Frederick Park. The Manager provides for outdoor leisure time activities and events while protecting, conserving, and enhancing the aesthetic quality of the physical environment and ensuring the safety of visitors. Bill Frederick Park includes approximately 183 acres of parkland alongside Turkey Lake. The park has multiple facilities with diverse amenities. The Park Manager assures visitors have quality experiences without compromising the Park’s natural environment. Work is performed under the general direction of the Program Manager and is evaluated through reports, meetings, review of programs, and results achieved. Requires excellent health and stamina due to the physical nature of the job.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Parks, Recreation, or Leisure Services and four (4) years park experience
required, including three (3) years in a supervisory capacity; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Valid Florida Driver's License
required.
Must pass a criminal background check and polygraph.

- Two (2) years of direct experience for an associate degree;
- Four (4) years of direct experience for a bachelor's degree;
- Six (6) years of direct experience for a master's degree; or
- Nine (9) years of direct experience for a doctoral degree.
