Job Description:
WASTEWATER - WETLANDS: Performs semi-skilled work in cleaning, maintenance, construction, and repair of the Orlando Wetlands Facility. Assists staff with repairs and preventive maintenance of park infrastructure. Work involves physical demands and exposure to adverse environmental conditions. Will be exposed to wildlife and biting insects on a routine basis. Work is performed under the supervision of Wetlands Manager or designee and reviewed by direct observation, while in progress, and upon completion.
Minimum Qualifications:
Utility Service Worker I:
WATER RECLAMATION (Wastewater Wetlands):
Must be able to read, write, and follow instructions. Six (6) months of experience in any of the following areas desired :
• Conducting inspections
• General construction
• General preventative maintenance
• General maintenance (Industrial or automotive equipment experience preferred)
• Pump operation/maintenance, or repair activities -
• Cleaning or repair
Utility Service Worker II
WASTEWATER - WETLANDS: Two (2) years of experience in general maintenance, cleaning, repair work or preventative maintenance activities; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Must be able to read, write, and follow instructions.

If this posting indicates a degree is required, the following experience will apply in lieu of any degree as follows:- Two (2) years of direct experience for an associate degree;
- Four (4) years of direct experience for a bachelor's degree;
- Six (6) years of direct experience for a master's degree; or
- Nine (9) years of direct experience for a doctoral degree.
