    Position Description
    The Department of Cell Biology and Biochemistry at the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Lubbock, TX invites applications for an Assistant Professor in any area of Biochemistry, Cellular, or Molecular Biology. The department currently has seventeen full-time faculty members and seeks accomplished scientists to complement existing research programs in molecular biology, cell biology, regulation of gene expression, protein amyloidogenesis, cancer and tumor microenvironment, reproductive biology, diabetes and obesity, substance use disorders, and structural biology. We enjoy a collegial and cooperative research environment both within and between departments that is especially conducive to collaboration and scientific discourse.

    Major/Essential Functions
    • Develop an independent, well-funded research program;
    • Publish and present research findings;
    • Participate in the teaching missions of the department; and
    • Actively contribute to the administrative and service functions of the department, college, and university.


    Occasional Duties


    Required Qualifications
    • PhD or MD.
    • A research statement that aligns with Biochemistry, Cellular or Molecular Biology.
