HIRING SALARY: $19.45 Per Hour This is a night shift position during active mosquito season and may require weekend and holiday work during this time as well. Hours during active mosquito season are 11pm to 7am. Non active mosquito season hours are 6am to 2pm.

Duties and ResponsibilitiesDuties include: Operates spray truck and Ultra Low Volume (ULV) spray equipment/machines properly within federal, state, and County regulations to treat assigned areas; works with a variety of pesticides; prepares and maintains routine records of operations; assists with updating spray maps; assists with refurbishing equipment and trucks during the non-mosquito season; and maintains a clean and safe vehicle and crew area. Familiarity with County geography a plus!
Minimum Qualifications•High School Diploma or equivalent
•Ability to comprehend and execute written and verbal instructions
•Proficient with iPads to log spray mission data
•Must be safety-minded and be able to work well in a demanding, team-oriented environment
•Ability to lift 55 lbs.
•Reliable transportation to get to work
•Have and maintain a valid SC Driver’s License with a safe driving record
•Ability to obtain pesticide applicator’s license, Category 8 within 6 months
•Available to report to work during hazardous weather or emergency conditions
