    TYPE OF RECRUITMENT
    LATERAL TRANSFER (NON-COUNTY EMPLOYEES ARE NOT ELIGIBLE TO APPLY).

    The Department of Public Health's Children's Medical Services (CMS) is seeking a well-qualified individual to fill the position of Physical Therapist I .

    All interested employees who currently hold the payroll title of Physical Therapist I are invited to submit a cover letter, their resume, and copies of their last two (2) performance evaluations.

    Essential Job Functions

    • Provides physical therapy services including evaluation and intervention and developing home and school activity programs for children and adolescents from birth to 21 years of age, with certain medical conditions.
    • Making appropriate recommendations and referrals per assessment findings, documentation within agency guidelines and participation in their case management.
    • Determining functional goals and developing treatment plan.
    • Uses treatment approaches appropriate to the patient’s needs.


    Requirements

    Must currently be a permanent Los Angeles County employee who has passed their initial probationary period and currently holds the payroll title of Physical Therapist I .

    DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Ability to work with all levels of staff and diverse agencies.
    • Ability to work independently and as a team.
    • Excellent organizational skills.
