Job Location: This position will be located at 930 Wildwood Drive, Jefferson City, MO 65109.
Why you’ll love this position:The position will be responsible for day-to-day management and programmatic oversight of the SMHW program, clinical oversight and clinical education components of the WISEWOMAN program. This position will provide supervisory and clinical oversight to Registered Nurses functioning as Regional Program Coordinators and Medical Review Coordinators for the SMHW program. This position will also be responsible for collaborating with the WISEWOMAN program manager and/or staff to conduct clinical educational opportunities to contracted providers and staff.
The salary indicated represents a base pay rate. If the individual selected or the position is eligible for a pay differential (e.g., shift, security, or years of service), it will be added to the total compensation in your paycheck. A pay differential does not raise your base pay.
- Programmatic management, development, and administration of the statewide breast and cervical cancer screening program known as Show Me Healthy Women (SMHW) following the standards set forth by the NBCCEDP
- Budget preparation and management and invoice approval for SMHW grant and program contractors
- Utilize guidelines to provide clinical consultation to respond to prior authorizations for services for the SMHW program ensuring appropriate documentation and follow-up occurs for claims reimbursement
- Provide oversight and assist in the development of the grant application and various grant reports ensuring timely submission
- Provide supervision and oversight for a team of regional program coordinator nurses
- Monitor and evaluate program in order to continuously improve program service delivery, prevent programmatic or client-center problems, and to maximize the quality of services and interventions by identifying opportunities for improvement
- Develop collaborative working relationships with statewide stakeholders such as service providers, cancer coalitions, cancer control organizations, MO HealthNet, etc
- Conduct program specific meetings to identify program success, barriers, and actionable items such as monthly SMHW/WISEWOMAN staff meetings and quarterly SMHW Advisory Group Meetings
- Actively participate in and periodically lead bureau program manager meetings and bureau all-staff meetings
- Develop and adhere to policies and procedures, standards, and contract monitoring tools.
- Participate in budget and contract calls with grantor for SMHW and WISEWOMAN programs.
- Collaborate with other chronic disease and women’s health programs to focus outcomes through identifying data needs and evaluating impacts
- Create encumbrance and/or encumbrance requests for submission in Smartsheet for the SMHW program
- Provide clinical oversight to the SMHW sister program WISEWOMAN
- Collaborate with WISEWOMAN program manager and staff to provide educational opportunities to contracted providers and staff
- Provide supervision and oversight for a team of regional program coordinator nurses in the SMHW program
- Provide clinical education to WISEWOMAN providers
Minimum Qualifications: - Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse licensed in the State of Missouri required. Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree preferred.
- Experience in women's health, oncology, public health, community outreach, and/or health education preferred.
- Knowledge and ability to provide technical assistance and professional trainings on evidence-based preventative health screening guidelines, clinical practice, claims billing, and federal and state laws regarding the Show Me Healthy Women and/or WISEWOMAN program(s).

- Demonstrated experience working with various partners, including local public health agencies, hospital systems, federally qualified health centers, and community based action agencies.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to read and analyze clinical data, trends, and metrics; attention to detail; ability to educate staff and lead quality initiatives; strong understanding of adult learning principles and competency validation; strong presentation and facilitation skills.
- Experience using technology and various computer programs (including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and video-conferencing such as WebEx or Microsoft Teams) to coordinate activities and assist providers with program requirements.
